A Transmedia Project On
2024 September - 2025 May
Women's Beauty & Culture
Our project is dedicated to educating the student community about diverse cultural beauty standards and celebrating all women. We believe that everyone deserves to feel beautiful, and our goal is to foster inclusive conversations about the social issues women face, breaking down barriers and promoting understanding.
As an all-women team from diverse cultural backgrounds, we bring our own experiences to this project, reflecting the richness of Warwick’s international student community.
Each of us has contributed to a unique media form:

Fashion pieces

Social media (Instagram mci.prism)
to create an interactive and thought-provoking experience.
Through this, we aim to spark conversations about beauty, identity, and the challenges women face worldwide. Our project is not just about representation; it is a platform for open dialogue, empowerment, and cultural appreciation.

In this fashion piece, I explore how globalization is reshaping the way women’s beauty and identity are expressed through fashion. Drawing on a blend of traditional garments from around the world, I designed two looks that reflect the fusion of cultural styles.
Inspired by research on evolving beauty standards and cultural blending, the work questions where the line lies between cultural appreciation and appropriation. This work celebrates the diversity of women's cultural beauty while imagining what globalized fashion could look like in the years to come.
